73 on Kloof St Summer Opening
16 February 2012
What better way to start off a perfect store opening than during the stunning summer nights in the beautiful Cape Town – and who better to organise such a launch than the lovely Carey Townsend from GirlAboutTownPR.
This shop became a reality for owner and designers, Keith Henning, designer of menswear label Adriaan Kuiters and Take Care’s Jessica Harwood when they found the perfect location in Kloof Street. The store has very unique decor which they describe as “a clean canvas from which an elegant shop space could emerge. The addition of tall windows and large glass doors flood the boutique with natural light that shimmers off white walls and concrete flooring.”

The launch of this new space was celebrated in a very casual but classy way as guests received champagne upon arrival and had the chance to browse through the beautiful soft chiffons and silks desperately asking to be worn.

Adriaan Kuiters menswear label was inspired by the vintage 1950’s with crisp white buttoned shirts and amazing shorts in all neutral colours. The looks of his designs are very simple but still has a strong modern feel to it. I loved how every piece in the store could be styled with classic leather shoes and sling bags (and what would the outfit be without super cool retro sunglasses.)

Take Care by Jessica Harwood is a very elegant line that creates an expensive and stylish look. Cream silk wrap dresses, fitted jackets and beautiful chiffon crop tops is not only trendy but also very comfortable.
